Landon defeats Georgetown Prep 17-6 in IAC lacrosse final

Regular season champion Landon earned a dominant 17-6 victory over rival Georgetown Prep in the IAC championship game on Friday at Landon. The Bears took a 7-2 lead into halftime behind four first-half goals from senior Chase Robertson, and kept up the intensity during the second half to claim their 33rd IAC championship and first outright title since 2017. Coach Will McGettigan, who took over the program in 2021, praised his team's consistent performance throughout the season, highlighted by a 15-game winning streak culminating in the title game victory.
